Abstract
PULAU PARI - Pada tanggal (01/11/2025), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) melalui UMN ECO melaksanakan kegiatan penanaman lamun di Pantai Bintang, Pulau Pari. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mahasiswa, dosen UMN, tim Riset, Inovasi, dan Sustainability UMN, serta Visiting Professor dari University of the Philippines Diliman, Prof. Randy Jay C. Solis, Ph.D. Penanaman lamun dilakukan sebagai upaya edukasi keberlanjutan secara langsung. Lamun berperan penting dalam menjaga ekosistem laut, menyerap karbon, menjadi habitat biota laut, serta mencegah erosi pantai. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami konsep keberlanjutan secara teori, tetapi juga praktik di lapangan. Prof. Randy menilai kegiatan ini sebagai langkah positif dalam menanamkan kesadaran lingkungan kepada mahasiswa dan berharap program serupa terus berlanjut agar memberi dampak jangka panjang bagi alam dan generasi muda.
