Abstract

Sebagai salah satu pusat perbelanjaan yang terletak di tengah kawasan The Golden Pentagon (Tangerang, Karawaci, Bintaro, Pondok Indah, dan Kebon Jeruk), mall @ alam sutera menghadapi persaingan ketat dengan pusat perbelanjaan lainnya di Tangerang maupun Jakarta. Untuk menghadapi persaingan tersebut, strategi marketing communication diperlukan untuk memberi diferensiasi bagi mall @ alam sutera di antara pusat perbelanjaan lainnya. Departemen Marketing Communication di mall @ alam sutera memiliki tugas utama membuat berbagai program promosi dan event. Penulis melakukan praktek kerja magang di Divisi Public Relations yang berada di bawah naungan Departemen Marketing Communication. Aktivitas Public Relations yang dilakukan penulis selama praktik kerja magang meliputi online public relations, media relations, event management, dan corporate social responsibilities. Aktivitas Marketing Communication dan Public Relations yang dilaksanakan di mall @ alam sutera sesuai dengan konsep dan teori yang dipelajari selama perkuliahan. Tujuan utama aktivitas Public Relations yang dilaksanakan mall @ alam sutera adalah membina hubungan dengan utama, membangun citra yang baik pada publik dan media, serta meningkatkan awareness publik mengenai events dan program yang dijalankan mall @ alam sutera.
