Abstract

Saat merayakan Hari Raya Natal terdapat beberapa tradisi yang dilakukan salah satunya memberikan kartu ucapan Natal. Namun seiring berjalannya waktu, kartu ucapan telah dikonversikan menjadi kartu ucapan digital. Motion graphic menjadi salah satu teknik animasi yang digunakan penulis untuk membuat kartu ucapan Natal dengan gaya visual flat design. Dalam skripsi ini, penulis akan menganalisis perancangan aset visual dengan tema Natal menggunakan teori simplifikasi, flat design, dan warna. Sebelum mendesain aset visual diperlukan riset mengenai tema Natal itu sendiri. Setelah itu, penulis merancang aset visual berdasarkan referensi foto asli dan hasil desain yang telah diamati penulis. Pemilihan warna yang digunakan juga berdasarkan teori skema warna sekaligus hasil pengamatan dari referensi tema Natal bahwa Natal identik dengan merah dan hijau. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses simplifikasi bentuk adalah proses yang panjang. Kemudian disesuaikan pula dengan gaya visual flat design 2.0 yang minimalis namun tetap menambahkan efek depth dan gradasi.
