Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk male gaze yang masih digunakan dalam film Like & Share (2022). Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode kualitatif yang menganalisis still shots dari beberapa adegan yang dipilih. Sumber penelitian ini adalah film Like & Share dari sutradara Gina S. Noer. Proses pengumpulan data adalah dengan memilih adegan tertentu untuk dianalisis dan mengumpulkan still shots dari adengan tersebut. Still shots yang dipilih memperhatikan unsur visual seperti, type of shot, camera angle, camera movement yang menghasilkan bentuk male gaze. Kemudian, Penulis akan menganalisis still shots yang sudah dikumpulkan dengan teori male gaze. Hasil penelitian terhadap film ini menunjukkan bahwa masih adanya pemaparan bentuk male gaze yang menghasilkan pandangan voyeuristic dan fetishistic scopophilia. Bentuk visual male gaze juga mendorong proses identifikasi penonton dengan karakter laki-laki. Pemilihan type of shot, camera angle, dan camera movement dapat mengobjektifikasi karakter perempuan dalam frame terlepas dari narasi yang ingin dibawakan.
