Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought several negative impacts to Indonesia, starting from the decline of Indonesia's economic growth to the increase of unemployment which further causes disorder especially in the national economy. According to the data from the Career Development Centre of Multimedia Nusantara University, the number of entrepreneur graduates who became an entrepreneur graduating in the even semester of 2020 was 1 1%. Meanwhile, ony 8% of stuidents graduated to become an entrepreneur from the odd semester in 2021. These data show that the number of Multimedia Nusantara University students who become entrepreneurs has decreased by 3% by one semester. In this study, the researcher wanted to answer the phenomenon of the problem regarding the causes of students being less interested in becoming an entrepreneur from the point of view of family background and psychological aspects of entrepreneuurial intentions. Therefore, the researcher uses seven variables (Family Background, Conscientiousness, Openness to Exsperien nce, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, and Self-Efficacy) on the Multimedia Nusantara University student's entrepreneurial intention. In this study, the researcher used a quantitative descriptive method by analyzing 200 data responses that fulfi11 the criteria which were then processed using technique descriptive analysis sand regression analysis. The results showed that there are 4 variables (Famiy Background, Openness to Experience, Extraversion, and Agreeableness) that gave a significant influence on entrepreneurial intention. On the other hand, the other variables (Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Self-Efficacy) have no influence on the entrepreneurial intentions.
