Abstract

Industri games merupakan bagian dari industri kreatif yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia. Studio games independen yang ada, memberikan peluang pekerjaan yang menjanjikan karena masih sedikitnya orang yang menaruh minat pada industry games. Proses pembuatan games yang kompleks tidak semudah memainkannya, hal inilah yang ingin ditunjukkan oleh studio gambreng games, dalam pembuatan film dokumenter. Dokumenter menjadi salah satu sarana yang digunakan oleh gambreng games untuk mensosialiasasikan proses pembuatan sebuah games. Dalam laporan magang yang berjudul “Peran Video Director dalam dokumenter ‘Survival of Funnest’ karya Gambreng Games” ini penulis menceritakan proses kreatif pembuatan film pendek dokumenter sebagai video director.
