Abstract
The development of technology and information needed by society is growing rapidly. The form of technological and information advancements is mass media. Until now, one of the media that can be a medium in conveying and obtaining information as a whole to the public is television. Television can facilitate the public by enjoying information or news that is complemented by audio and visuals. One private television station popping up offers its advantages. For Instants first paid news television in Indonesia, Beritasatu TV. This television station uses the concept of news television by presenting hard news and soft news as the main content. In the implementation of internship work practices, the writer has the opportunity to become part of BeritaSatu TV as a production assistant in the News Production division. In its implementation, the author is involved in one of the programs, "Prime Time Connect" which presents light news from social media. During the internship practice, the writer has the task of assisting the producer in editing the manuscript that has been sent by the reporter, researching the latest information from social media. In addition, the author also orders material in the form of videos to order material for pictures and writing to be made into a graphic. During carrying out apprenticeship practices, the author gets many in-depth lessons, especially in the world of news television and understands the importance of the role of production assistants in the production process of a show.
