Abstract

Kemunculan produk aftermarket yang semakin beragam menandakan bahwa industri otomotif di Indonesia tengah mengalami kemajuan pesat. Hal ini menjadi alasan banyak pihak mulai melirik industri otomotif sebagai media promosi, dengan menciptakan kendaraan show unit untuk keperluan maskot produk dan pameran. Dalam mengakomodasi hal tersebut, diciptakanlah creative event untuk meningkatkan exposure dan penjualan. Hasil penelitian seusai penulis melakukan magang sebagai visual designer menunjukkan dalam industri otomotif, desain merupakan salah satu hal penting dalam proses Research and Development (RnD).
